Skellefteå

Skellefteå chose to become the first municipality in Sweden to implement fritidsguides.

Rooted in fieldwork, human insight and the proven learnings from Copenhagen Municipality, Skellefteå Fritidsguide builds a bridge between children, families and the supportive communities around them.

The project introduces a long-term, relationship-driven model where belonging is built step by step through presence, trust and guided participation.

This is a story about access becoming possibility, and possibility becoming a future. A project where practical wisdom, empathy and system-level design meet the real lives of real people in the north.
